Listings use reviewed, permitted structured sources for names, locations, categories, contact details, hours, and useful visitor features. We do not copy reviews, promotional descriptions, or unlicensed photography.
Automatic checks with safe stops
Sources are revisited on a conservative schedule designed for modest hardware. A failed or unexpectedly smaller source cannot erase working listings; that source stops for review while the existing directory remains available.
Visible freshness
Place pages show when details were last checked and provide a direct way to report an error. Time-sensitive facts should still be confirmed before a trip.
Photos with reusable licenses
When an OpenStreetMap record explicitly identifies a Wikimedia Commons photograph, the directory verifies its license and credit before showing it. Accepted photos are stored and resized locally, labeled on the place page, and linked back to their Commons source. Listings without a suitable photo keep the directory’s category artwork.
A focused region
The directory covers Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, a three-mile buffer around those towns, and the main Tennessee portion of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
